Washington State University

I am a Ph.D. student working in the lab of Dennis Johnson in the Department of Plant Pathology at Washington State University, Pullman, WA. My projects include the evaluation of Verticillium dahliae pathogenicity in Mentha arvensis and M. longifolia using V. dahliae isolates from several hosts and vegetative compatibility groups. I have screened lines of peppermint transformants containing Ve-like genes and am currently working on molecular methods to reliably detect and quantify V. dahliae in mint tissue.
